大家好，很高興也很榮幸第一次站在這個講臺上和大家一起探討如何珍惜時間，今天我演講的題目是《珍惜時間，從今天做起》。如果你問我時間是什么？我也不知道。我只知道時間一旦失去就不會再擁有，只知道時間是這個世界上最快又最慢，最長又最短，最平凡又最珍貴，最被人忽視又最令人后悔的神奇的東西。我只知道我們應該珍惜時間。珍惜時間就是節(jié)約時間，合理地利用時間，時間是飛逝的，它不會為任何人而停留：當你早起穿衣服的時候，時間從你衣服中穿過；當你騎車上學時，時間從你的車輪前闖過；當你吃飯的時候，時間從碗邊溜過；當你在校學習的時候，時間從你的筆尖上飛過；當你晚上睡覺的時候，時間從你的身上跨過；當你再次早起時，時間已不知不覺地過了86400秒?？梢姇r間是如何之快地從我們的身邊飛逝。你想挽留時間嗎？那就得靠你把握時間，珍惜時間。時間是最公平的，它不會因為你的富有多給你一分，也不會因為你的貧窮而少給你一秒。
那為什么在相同的時間里，人們所得到的結果不同呢？比如說：我們班48位同學，每天在一起生活、學習，同樣的環(huán)境，同樣的課程，同樣的老師，那為什么有的同學學習好而有的同學差呢？那是因為好學生充分利用了自己的時間，他把別人休息游玩的時間都用在了學習上，所以能夠取得好成績。象我們班的王潔同學，有很多人羨慕她小小年紀學習成績卻那么好，甚至還能跳級?？墒沁@僅僅是因為她比別人聰明嗎？不是！是因為她懂得珍惜時間。記得前些天中午，我們以前的七八個同學來我家聚餐，大家有的玩電腦有的下棋有的跳皮筋玩得不亦樂乎，可她卻躲在我的小房間里一直不出來，我好奇地去找她，卻發(fā)現(xiàn)她正聚精會神地寫作業(yè)。我說大家都在玩晚上再寫不行嗎？她說晚上我還要學舞蹈，晚上有晚上的事，我聽了心里非常佩服她。聽說她二年級的時候利用整個暑假就把三年級的課程自學完了，開學直接跳級上了四年級，成績?nèi)匀皇敲星懊?。大家想想，她一個暑假就學完了我們一年的課程，當我們暑假里正在游玩的時候，她卻在抓緊時間、贏取時間，我現(xiàn)在已經(jīng)快12歲了，可她卻不到10歲，所以從這件事上我明白了：珍惜時間就等于延長了自己的生命！
